The Educated Cowgirl Podcast!
Educating the equine industry to bring us closer together as a community! I have always been passionate about promoting the equine industry and helping to inspire the next generation of horsemen and women. One of my main goals with this podcast is to provide new learning opportunities to grow their and my own knowledge of other disciplines, breeds, and several different topics that they are not apart of or no nothing about! I want to open people's minds to continue to learn more about horses and the industry to help continue their education as we are always learning and growing! I also want to help bridge the gap between the different worlds we seem to have created within the industry.
The Educated Cowgirl Podcast!
016. "It's Cool to be a Cowboy Again!" The Future of the Horse Breeding looks bright with Jake Dahl Owner of Vista Equine Colorado!
Hey Cowgirls and Cowboys!
I have a very cool episode for you this week and one I believe is not only approriate for this time of year, but to discuss the importance of the equine breeding industry and the facilities that truly care for the mares and preserving these bloodlines. Also, showing the excitement for what the future holds for breeding stronger, smarter, and more talents equine athletes!
Over the past few years, I believe the equine industry has seen a tremendous amount of growth from not only new owners coming in, but with better genetics and breeding techniques facilities like Vista Equine are able to breed better and better horses which as Jake will tell you in the episode comes full circle as it is also making better horsemen as they have to rethink their training methods to train these talented horses.
Jake has over 20 years experience working in the breeding world, so we talked about so many great topics in this episode and I hope you learn something new or gain knowledge about something you didn't know much about! As Jake says in the episode, breeding season can mean so many crazy, exciting things not only during this time of year, but for the industry as a whole!
